Membership of the Designer Art Shop Association (Alcove Art Shop) is subject to approval by the Alcove Committee.
The Association has two types of members:
Workers:
These members work as sale staff or serve on the committee. Typically 1 day of work a month is required. The goods they sell are charged a commission of 20%.
Non-Workers:
These members do not work in the shop or serve on the committee. The goods they sell are charged a commission of 45%.
Being a working member is strongly recommended. Working allows an artist to directly connect to customers and helps the Alcove to open on more days.
